The single was released in April 1995 with “Low Life” on the B-side. It topped the singles charts in many countries, including the United States, Australia, and Eurochart Hot 100 chart. In Germany, it peaked at #3, in the UK at #4.
In June 1996, the song was included on Adams’ seventh studio album, “18 til I Die”. It appears also on the greatest hits compilations “The Best of Me” (1999), “Anthology” (2005), “Icon” (2005) and “Ultimate” (2017).
The song was nominated for Grammy for Best Original Song at the 68th Academy Awards. The music video was filmed at Casa los Pavos Reales, Málaga in Spain.
